'alva' is an adorable sandal with lots of support and therefore it is suitable for children of all ages. The sandal is handmade in Portugal from soft and natural leather with a flexible crepe rubber sole. Everything inside the shoe, touching the feet, is made from vegetable-tanned leather, which is 100% biodegradable and 100% chrome free. The adjustable Velcro straps provide a natural fit and an easy closure for children of all  ages

storage

Our best recommendation is to store your shoes in a dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid storing the shoes near a hot radiator, as the heat can dry out the material and cause it to crack. If the shoe becomes wet, it should be allowed to dry at normal room temperature.

waterproofing

New shoes and boots should always be waterproofed before use. Waterproofing protects the shoe from dirt and stains. It's important to waterproof regularly to maintain a protective surface.

avoid using the washing machine

Avoid machine washing your child's shoes. Your bisgaard shoes are made with natural materials and therefore not suitable for machine wash. You can easily remove dirt and grime with a wrung-out cloth and some lukewarm water.
