Rubber boot guide

Not all rainy days call for the same rubber boots. That is why we share our knowledge about fit, materials and the difference between classic rubber boots and thermo rubber boots, making it easier for you to choose the model that suits both the weather and your child’s needs.

Our handcrafted rubber boots are designed with a comfortable fit for regular and wide feet. Each model is made from natural rubber, making the boot soft, flexible and comfortable to wear, while also being waterproof and durable. All models feature removable insoles, making it easy to air out and dry the boots after a day full of play and adventure.

Rubber boots

A good choice for milder, wet days when feet need to stay dry. The soft cotton lining feels breathable and comfortable around the foot, while the supportive fit provides stability. A lightweight and flexible boot, ideal for rainy days when puddles fill the playground.

Thermo rubber boots

A good choice for cold and wet days when feet need to stay both dry and warm. The soft wool lining is naturally temperature-regulating and feels comfortable against the foot, while the wool insole with a thermal base provides extra insulation. The durable ripstop upper makes the boot more resistant to everyday use.

For different days and needs

Our rubber boots and thermo rubber boots are designed for different needs and complement each other well in a child’s wardrobe. This ensures that your child is well prepared for both mild rainy days and cold, wet days.

Low or high shaft

A low shaft is a good choice for younger children, where freedom of movement and boots that are easy to put on and take off are important in everyday life.

A high shaft is well suited for older and more active children who need extra protection on wet days, especially when they spend longer periods outdoors.

Safety and stability

Our rubber boots, like all our other footwear, are free from harmful chemicals, including PVC and phthalates. The slip-resistant and flexible rubber soles provide good grip on slippery paths and wet surfaces. A design created to support the child’s movement and stability.

TEX boots vs. rubber boots

TEX boots have a waterproof membrane that protects against light rain and moisture, but they cannot replace rubber boots or thermal boots in heavy rain or deep puddles. Rubber boots provide fully waterproof protection and are therefore the best choice in very wet weather.

Quick overview

TEX boots → everyday use in winter and wet weather
Rubber boots → heavy rain and puddles
Thermo rubber boots → cold, wet days

Growing allowance

We always recommend a growing allowance of 1 cm. It is important that rubber boots are not too large, as they cannot be adjusted in the same way as regular footwear. A boot that is too large may cause increased wear and make it more difficult for the child to move freely. If the boot is slightly large, an extra wool insole or a thicker sock can be a good solution, providing both warmth and a better fit. You can click here to read more in our size guide.

How to take care of rubber boots

Natural rubber requires regular care to maintain its quality and flexibility. With our rubber care, you can extend the lifespan of the boots while maintaining a beautiful and even finish.
